Sadie dropped to the ground, she lay on her belly looking up at the adult dogs, her ears back and light green eyes full of fright, the great dane was more than double her size, and he was scary to her, the other dog that had just bounded in just made her even more nervous, her scruffy coat now getting covered in sand, it was hard to tell she was pure bred, she was really skinny, due to lack of food, her coat was dull and scruffy, she was extremely nervous and jumpy around other dogs, she let out a quiet whimper, she wished she still had her mum and brothers around, she wished she could curl up and feel safe for once, feel protected and feel like family again.
