nessieMiracles were something I was growing used to. I saw miracles everyday, hell, I was a miracle. I was proclaimed dead as a pup, but I lived, I was to weak to stand, and even now I have problems, but miracles were just life to me. When I walked down the street with mama or daddy, or with Tybalt, humans stared at me because I was small compared to my family, I was fragile. I was practicly porcelain.
I peered into the trash bin, twitching my nose. Mmm. I had learned that several of the smells I was smelling now were things called "Pizza", "Hamburger", "Chicken"... and... what was that? There was a scent I had yet to learn. At that time, I didnt know, but now, it is my favorite, Macaroni and Cheese. I crept closer, examining the slimy looking curved tubes, and then lapped one up. Oh... my..... gosh... was that flippin good. I lunged at it, licking up as much as I could. I needed more. More.
I imprinted the scent to memory, and on my way I went, only stumbling a few times. I could never walk anywhere without falling, I was to weak.

Tybalt, they called me, a name bestowed upon me by my dear father. And I wasn't complaining. I quite liked my name, fitting in my mind. I had gotten very used to it as the days wore on, recognizing myself when I was called. It grew to be a part of you, I knew. If you couldn't represent your name, you definitely couldn't represent anything else, that was a straight fact in my mind. And my mind was good enough for me, as underdeveloped as it may be. It would come to be the only private thing I had, I knew.
So here I was, walking along with my sister Nessie, ignoring the looks people shot us due to her small size. I didn't care that she was smaller than usual. It made me want to protect her even more, yes, but I certainly didn't make me think any different of her. She couldn't help it. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with her. My mind said firmly. I agreed.
I stopped, watching her as she moved over to a rubbish bin and peered in. Apparently, I though, amused, she had found something she liked. Some noodle substance, because she was certainly lapping it up. I chuckled and sat back, watching her. The moment she was on the move again, however, I hastened to be at her side.
"What was that stuff, Nez?"

nessieI licked my maw, wagging my tail as best I could for my Ty. "I dunno, but it was good!" I said in my little high pitched voice. I stepped closer to him, grabbing his ear between my teeth and tugging lightly. I let go, sniffing the air.
The smell was... there... alittle. I could tell it was close, but there wasnt alot. I tried to go faster, but tripped. I picked myself back up, and whimpered, drooping my head to sniff the ground. "I cant smell it! Ty you have to have some!" I whined, moving foreward. He absolutly had to have some of it. HAD to.
I licked my nose, stopping and huffing. My tail fell, no longer content. God... dang... it.

Tybalt nodded as Nessie exclaimed that she didn't know what it was, but that it was good. When she pulled at his ear, he struggled to make his little golden tail wag, letting out a raspy and pathetic bark, but it was the best that he could do. He then bounded after Nessie, frowning when she tripped. He stopped beside her, nudging her gently to make sure she was okay, and then smiling when she got back to her feet.
She had picked up the sent while informing him that he absolutely had to have some, and he believed her as he tromped off after his sister. This stuff really must be pretty darn good, if she was going so crazy over it. And now he was so anxious to taste some that he picked up his speed.
He nearly passed Nessie when she stopped, but he managed to halt at her side. His beautiful eyes, eyes of his father, took in his sister's disappointed attitude, heart seeming to deflate.
"Oh, it's alright, Nez! We'll find some more!"

nessie If there trully was one thing I loved about my brother, it was how he treated me. He never acted mean, he was always optimistic and stuff. I looked up to him, and to me, he was the very reason to not give up. It was easy for me to just stop breathing, I struggled to everyday. I never understood why I tried to, why I cared. But then, I realized, oh yeah, Ty. DUH.
I looked up at him, a smile returning to my face. I nodded alittle, then turned my eyes back to the road. Well, I'll be danged, I had a great plan. I crossed infront of Ty, heading towards someones lawn. I stepped lightly onto the grass, pulling myself out of the ditch and onto the green. I waddled with my puppy like walk towards the very very large house, intent on whatever I had been after.
I was going to get some more, and my nose knew exactly where it was.

Tybalt smiled as his sister's spirit reappeared. He hated seeing her down, because he always wanted to be there to help her, always wanting to make sure that she was content and happy. Because when she was sad, he felt like it was his responsibility to fix that. And the same for if she was scared. It something frightened her, Tybalt wanted to be there to scare it away. He just felt naturally protective over Nessie, and he knew the feeling would never, ever go away. And that didn't bother him, because he should feel like that. What kind of brother would he be if he didnt care? Not a very good one, that was what kind.
Suddenly she was tromping off across the street, energy and determination filling her. He laughed softly and then suddenly set off after her, stubby legs working to trail behind her. She was moving towards a house, a place where humans dwelled, but Tybalt didn't fear them. Ha! What reason did he have to? And even if he did, he would have followed little Nessie to the depts of hell itself if it meant protecting her.

nessieI continued my great cross of the lawn, taking meeningful steps, that only grew weak when the grass stopped. I stood in a small garden, looking directly towards a window. At that time, I didnt know what "no cars" ment, but now I have learned that it ment no one was home.
I raised my head alittle, smirking. I glanced back to Ty, making sure he was still with me on this. I continued to walk slowly, creeping. When I reached the brick structure, I easily found my way into the basement. That was the hard part. The window looked down into a large concrete room, and there was a small table below it. Now, I wasnt the best at jumping, so my heart started to race. I let out a weezy whimper, sliding my front paws down the wall from the window, before they touched the table. I came down all the way, landing hard on it. Oww...
I huffed, trying to seem stronger then I was. I knew that if I whimpered, Ty would shut this mission off right away, like previous ones. I stood up slowly, with effort. The jump down was only two feet or so, and I could make it. But... wait... what was that? A large dogbed /what I thought then as a bag of leaves/ laid across the floor. I turned to it, and then jumped down, landing safely and comfortably on it.
My tail wagged, "Tyy! You comin?" I barked, feeling like a lion. Then I noticed another thing, there was a free way pass into the main house. The door our of the basement had a dog door on it.
None of these things clicked at the time, there was a dog bed, which was extremely large, and there was a dog door, which also was extremely large. The thought never crossed my mind, that there was a dog....
Who I could safely label "Perro Grande"

Tybalt had been watching Nessie closely as she followed, which was why he was so stunned when she suddenly disappeared. He charged forward, only to realize that she hadn't disappeared, silly him! She had just gone through a window down into the basement, landing on a table. The small puppy was now working her way onto some large fluffy pillow, and Tybalt hastened to follow her. He landed on the table with a thump! at the same time Nessie landed on the pillow. He then scrambled down after her, not realizing himself that they had landed on a dog bed.
"'m here!" Tybalt exclaimed as he trotted up beside Nessie. His eyes found the doggy door as well, and he still was too young to understand, to put two-and-two together. That the dog bed behind them was quite large, and that doggy door wasn't exactly miniscule...
But how were two puppies to know? Tybalt looked over at Nessie, small tail struggling to wag. "Is that stuff in there?" He asked hopefully.

nessieI jumped alittle, not expecting Ty to be so fast. He caught up quickly, and I licked his muzzle, then started towards the stairs that led up into the house. "Yep! I can smell it.." I said, pulling myself up onto the first stair. My smile vanished, as I sat down, huffing. Oh this would be fun. I looked up at the rest of the stairs, trying to tell myself I could do it. I stood, slowly pulling myself up... up... up... one step at a time. Tedious.
I finally reached the top step, feeling lightheaded and my body was shaking. I pushed my head through the doggie door, panting heavily. Alright. I stepped through, coming out onto the softest... and oddest color grass I had ever seen or felt. It was... blue... and... very soft. Like fur. I didnt know what carpet was. So it was grass. I dropped my head, sniffing it curiously. It didnt smell like my noddle stuff, so I kept walking. I finally sat down, feeling the need to rest. I looked back to the door. "Ty!" I barked, and then stood once more. I could smell it now, and it led towards some more concrete.. .no... smoother... linoleum. I clicked and clacked on it, my nails making an irritating sound with each step. I came into the kitchen, looking up at the tall buildings, and one, that had the smell written all over it. Two doors stood in my way, and they led to a very cold place, that held alot of wonderful things.

Tybalt had been still, simply watching Nessie make her way up the stairs, ready to leap forward if she needed help. But she got up and through the door alright. He was still, staring at the stairs, until Nessie's voice reached him. "Ty!" It was not mingled with fear or surprise, but simply one of calling. "Coming!" He barked back, quickly starting up the stairs. Even though he was larger than Nessie, it still took him a short while to get up them, and when he clambered into the doggy door, he was slightly tired. But then his feet hit something soft and he froze.
What was this stuff? Blue and fluffy...he had no idea, but he supposed it to be some sort of grass, just as his sister had. He hastened after her, once again startled when his nails began to click upon hitting a smooth, slick substance. He sighed and continued forward until he was beside Nessie, staring up at the two large doors that she was.
"Is it in there?"
