p a s t . n o t p r e s e n t Born and raised a stray, I will always be. I was birthed in a small shed in the backyard of someones home. My littermates consisted of my three brothers and two sisters. My mother loved us dearly, and our father was unknown, and we never asked. We thought it was normal for there to be no dad. Anyways. When I was near a few months, still in the shed with all of my family, my mother went out for food. She left early, and so my siblings and I played behind the shed, out of sight from the family that inhabited the house. The day was growing old, and soon, the moon was large and bright in the dark sky. We went into the shed, curling into eachother to sleep. With luck, mother would return by morning with breakfast. We awoke to the sound of birds, and the sun poured in through the crack in the shed door. Each of us looked around, expecting to see our mother curled up with us. She wasnt. We waited throughout that day, and the next, and within three days, all that was left was me and my brother, Sammy, our four other siblings laying still on the shed floor. Both of us had considered canibalism, but instead, Sammy ventured from the shed father then mother had allowed. I followed, afraid to lose anything else. We had visited lots of places within a year, both of us then gangly teens. We were near a supermall, one of our normal stops for food and shelter before nightfall. It happened quickly, someone jumping from their car, histericly coming towards us. "Look at the puppies! So alone!" It made me sick. We started to run, but Sammy was picked up. Another voice asked if the woman was going to grab me, and she waved her hand, now trying to settle my struggling brother, "Someone will pick her up sooner or later". It was then, that my heart shattered, but I learned later, that my heart was not as broken as I had thought it was.
b e a u t y i s i n t h e e y e s o f t h e b e h o l d e r I stand at 23 inches, and weigh a light 64 lbs. My genetics make me a tan, black, and white long haired dog. I appear black, ebony, white, with some chocolate, and deep set brown eyes. I am gorgeous to many, and elegant. As most collies come, I am large, built for herding, which has allowed me muscles proper for running at breakneck speeds, though, Im not the best with jumping and swimming.
a c t i o n s a n d p e r s o n a l i t y Often, I am titled kind, and angelic. Often, others adore my saintlike behavior. Many have fallen for my charm, and my patience, allowing me trust and companionship. Odd thing is, their only dogs who see that. Humans reject me due to my status, and in return, I reject them. Collies are well known for their love of children, but I assure you, the only children I will ever accept, is my own pups.
