Why was she alone? Why did she even care? Shouldn't she be used to it by now? She supposed that one never actually grew accustom to loneliness. With a whine she looked around, disappointed to find no other dogs even though she'd already smelt around the area for her canine companions. Mentally she sighed, scolding herself for hoping that there would be someone to be with her. Instead of dwelling on the fact that there probably wasn't another dog in this forest she sniffed around, searching for an easy meal. Well, it didn't have to be easy, just a meal. The scent of death caught her attention. Slowly she edged toward the scent, going against her natural instinct to get away. There, just lying in the underbrush, was a dead rabbit. Cautiously she sniffed, checking for anything that might have explained its death. She didn't want to be poisoned. Thats when she saw the trap. So a hunter had killed this small creature. In a few quick bites she'd eaten it. Hunger almost satisfied she was left to wallow in her sorrow of being alone. Didn't anyone want her?

A skinny, weak, scruff chocolate tri Aussie shepherd pup wandered through the forest, she was cold, tired and hungry, she tripped over a twig and landed on her face, she let out a little whimper and then pulled herself weakly to her feet. Sadie was only 5 months old, it was only a month ago she had watched as her mother and 2 brothers were killed, now she found herself alone, lost and both physically and mentally exhausted, she sat by herself under a tree, whimpering sadly to herself, she then scented another dog near by, she instantly dropped her body to the ground, hoping in some way it would make her invisble.

Ran's nose picked up a scent and her spotted tail wagged excitedly. There was a pup nearby. Over there...by the tree. Ran carried herself the way she'd seen her purebred Dalmatian mother carry herself around the house as she apporached the pup. She was only a year old, hardly a mature dog. The pup was a breed she didnt recognize but then again she never bothered to learn breeds. "Hello...Im Ran. Who are you?" she asked softly, so as not to scare the poor thing.

she looked up nervously, but she could see that Ran wouldnt hurt her, so she sat up, "i am Sadie" she said, her little tail wagged slightly, her salmon picnk tongue hanging out of her mouth, her scrawny body very thin, her ribs protruding through her side, and her spine was clearly visable, her chocolate coat was all matted and very dull
(sorry it short, my muse just died)

Ran's tail wagged even harder. She was excited to have finally found someone, especially a pup. "You look hungry." she commented, taking in the scrawny frame "Come on, i'll find you some food." she stood waiting for the chocolate pup to follow her.
